Rookie of the Year hopeful Angel Reese had fans going on and on about her pregame arrival, given what she was wearing when she pulled up to the Chicago Sky’s fixture against the Indiana Fever on Friday.

The teams played out what was likely the most highly-anticipated game since the Olympic break, and Reese was dressed for the occasion.

The former LSU star, drafted No. 7 overall earlier this year, came in wearing a Dennis Rodman Detroit Pistons jersey, which she wore with the name on the front, as well as denim jeans and Timberland boots.

Rodman, a basketball icon, is royalty in Chicago. The former forward is also one of the best rebounders in NBA history, so the representation made plenty of sense as Reese has drawn plenty of comparisons to The Worm.

Of course, Sky fans would have preferred it if she had worn a Rodman Bulls jersey instead.

“She getting 32 rebounds tonight,” a fan wrote.

Statement made and received, I hope by the haters,” said another.

“About to get a masterclass,” someone else declared.

“Period! Now STFU. Best rebounder ever!” said a fourth.

Angel, you play for Chicago. You wear a BULLS Rodman jersey!!!” someone urged.

Another fan pointed out that Reese likely wore the Pistons version of the jersey because of her rumored relationship with Detroit center Jalen Duren.

“😂 Yeah ok ‼️She not slick. A.Reese jersey #5 + J.Duren jersey #5 = why she’s wearing D.Rodman jersey #10 By the way Jalen Duren plays for the Pistons🤣,” they joked.

Angel Reese Registered Another Double-Double In A Losing Effort

The star rookie recorded yet another double-double, scoring 10 points and adding 11 rebounds. However, the Sky were no match for Caitlin Clark and the Fever, who blew them out 100-81.

Clark led all scorers on the night with a 31-point performance, adding 12 assists and four rebounds.

The Fever are now third in the Eastern Conference at 16-16, having maintained remarkable form since WNBA action resumed. They hold a 3.5-game lead over Chicago, who fell to 11-20 with their latest loss.
