LeBron James’ last 50-point game came on March 11, 2022 in the LA Lakers’ 122-109 home victory over the Washington Wizards. He had 50 points on 18-of -25 shooting and 6-of-9 from three, to go long with seven rebounds and six assists. He first reached the 50-point plateau in 2005 as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, going for 56 points.
James’ last single-digit game, meanwhile, was in the Cavaliers’ 95-86 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Jan. 5, 2007, where he put up eight points in 43 minutes.
The 39-year-old superstar has played 21 years in the NBA and is the league’s all-time leading scorer with 40,474 points in 1,492 regular-season games. He is set to add on to his total as he will be returning to the LA Lakers come next season.
LeBron James believes he remains a scoring threat at this stage of his career
LeBron James continues to set scoring records at this stage of his illustrious career and maintains he is poised to continue doing so as he remains a threat on the floor.
He shared this back in March as he breached the 40,000-point plateau, the first in NBA history, saying (via ESPN):
“I feel like I’m still that threat out on the floor and I am still able to do the things that I was doing 10 years ago. And some things I was doing 20 years ago, which is weird to say.”
LeBron James reached 40,000 points in the LA Lakers’ game against the Denver Nuggets on March 2 where he scored 26 points. Needing to score just nine points to achieve the feat entering the game, he scored his 40,000th career point off a layup over Michael Porter Jr. His team, however, lost the game, 124-114.
Last season, James led the Lakers with a scoring average of 25.7 points, 13th in the league. He also normed 8.3 assists, 7.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 35 minutes of play.
In July, ‘The King’ signed a two-year deal to continue playing with the Lakers.
