Since his draft was made official by the Lakers on June 27, Bronny James has been the subject of much debate regarding his legitimacy within the franchise.
A league legend recently weighed in on this issue with a very strong opinion.
While waiting for the start of training camp, scheduled for October 1, each member of the Lakers squad is spending their summer as they see fit.
As for Bronny and LeBron James, their schedules have logically displayed some similarities.
Both made a stopover in Paris a few days ago, while the King represented the United States at the Olympic Games in front of his eldest son:
Udonis Haslem unfiltered on the Bronny scandal at the Lakers
While waiting to team up in the coming months under the Purple & Gold colors, LeBron and Bronny have had a good time in France.
At the same time, some NBA observers have continued to cry foul over their reunion on the same team, which they say is the result of nepotism.
Udonis Haslem, however, did not hold it against LBJ in the Pat Bev Podcast:

The viral post by LeBron James and Steph Curry that stirs up rumors of an imminent trade!
Udonis Haslem: I don’t blame LeBron because as a black man, I’ve seen a lot of people of other nationalities and white coaches do this forever.
They give a damn job to their best friend’s nephew when he doesn’t meet the criteria to do it at all. So I have no problem with the fact that Bron allowed Bronny to get to this point.
Now it’s up to Bronny to do the job.
For Haslem, nepotism would therefore not be new within the league, but until now has rarely proven to be beneficial to the black community.
The former Heat center is therefore pleased to see his former teammate having used his influence to bring Bronny to his side at the Lakers, if this is indeed the case.
However, according to him, the Angelenos leaders would not have drafted the young guard simply out of courtesy towards their star:
Udonis Haslem: If I can say one thing about them, it’s that they are not the type to take random bets.
They are damn smart, they calculate everything and they are great businessmen.
So it’s certain that they have a plan.
Bron, however, can congratulate himself on having achieved one of his main pre-retirement goals, namely to team up with his son.
Udonis Haslem is not about to throw stones at LeBron James despite the accusations of nepotism surrounding him with regard to Bronny.
The Heat legend, on the contrary, relishes the fact that a black man was able to “push” a close friend in this way.
