Rookie or not, Victor Wembanyama has established himself as one of the best defenders in the NBA last year.
The Frenchman is changing the game, to the point where some fans have a special request for the league. And that wouldn’t be a bad idea.
Returning in a few weeks to the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama hopes to have a special season with San Antonio in the NBA.
He will already be expected to turn the corner in Texas, notably thanks to his defense, which allowed him to finish second in the DPOY ranking behind Rudy Gobert last year.
But count on him to take the Grail in 2025.
Wembanyama’s influence on defense is impressive
After all, Wemby has already had a pretty crazy impact since arriving in the league.
His height of 2m24 allows him to dissuade attackers thanks to his simple presence, so much so that Internet users want a statistic on this subject.
A good way to measure the impact of Wembanyama on certain actions which do not necessarily end in a counter.

“The only request I have for this upcoming season is that the advanced stats guys provide a stat that measures every time something like this happens with Wemby. The “OHNO” stat.”
A stat where Wemby should wreak havoc, a bit like Rudy Gobert and other players.
The fans, for their part, fully approve of the idea. Let’s remember that last year, Victor managed to stop a 3vs1 against the Grizzlies.

He just had two OHNOs in the span of two seconds
Victor Wembanyama has had a pretty impressive deterrent since he arrived in the NBA, to the point where fans want an official statistic to measure his impact.
That certainly wouldn’t be a bad idea.
