“She’s using Caitlin Clark” – Analyst claims Angel Reese “sexualized herself” after Sky rookie reveals extent of fan behavior

Angel Reese addressed the constant criticism she’s allegedly received from Caitlin Clark fans since they both were in college.

The Chicago Sky rookie released the first episode of her ‘Unapologetically Angel’ podcast, where she discussed a variety of topics, including the notion that she’s beefing with Clark.

Sports analyst Jason Whitlock reacted to Reese’s comments in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday morning:

“How do you unpack, ‘Caitlin Clark fans are the reason people are making AI pictures of me?’ How do you get there? What does that have to do with Caitlin Clark? She puts herself out there, even on this podcast; stomach out, breast barely hidden, legs front and center, everywhere.”

Whitlock claimed that Reese was connecting being sexualized to Clark’s fans, putting the blame on the rookie forward:

“She has sexualized herself. And now, ‘Oh, I’m shocked people have sexualized me,’ and somehow she’s connecting it to being a Caitlin Clark fan. I just don’t see the connection.

“It’s like, ‘Everything bad that happens to me is somehow connected to Caitlin Clark.’ That’s stupid; it’s dishonest.

She’s just clout chasing, she’s using Caitlin Clark… What’s Caitlin Clark done to you? Nothing.”

During her final press conference of the 2024 women’s NCAA national tournament, an emotional Angel Reese revealed she had received death threats and was sexualized, although she didn’t say Caitlin Clark fans were part of that.

What did Angel Reese say about Caitlin Clark fans?

During the first episode of her podcast, Angel Reese said that Caitlin Clark’s fans have been after her ever since she was in Iowa:

“I don’t believe in her heart that she has hatred towards me and I’m sure she believes that I don’t have hatred towards her, but I think her fanbase has gone — I literally saw something today that was like…

“Basketball is literally a game, we have so much fun with it, but when it comes to, but when it comes to death threats — I’m talking about people coming to my address, follow me home, it’s come down to that.

On multiple occasions, people have made AI pictures of me, like, naked, literally. They have sent it to my family members. It sucks to see that,” Reese explained.

Angel Reese made it clear that she’s never had beef with Clark, but fans have taken things too far.
