LeBron and Green travel to France annually to wine and dine

AFTER a stunning gold medal win at the Paris Olympics, LeBron James enjoyed the best that France had to offer with his time off.

LeBron brought his buddy Draymond Green along for a luxury experience along the French countryside to enjoy the best cuisine the country has to offer.

Sources revealed to The U.S. Sun that LeBron and Green love wine, and went to taste some of the best in the world.

“Mr James and Mr Green are connoisseurs in wine, drinks and food and enjoy to have a great time, surrounded by their family and close ones with nice dishes and nice drinks,” a celebrity consultant told The U.S. Sun.

“The order of wine and drinks was five star, with some unique wines, some of the most expensive in the world, as both of them love wine, they really know their wines, that is for sure.

“LeBron loves French wines, and we also got him some cognac because he enjoys some nice cocktails too.”

The star-studded duo shelled out over $75,000 for luxury wines and spirits.

LeBron and Green enjoyed two bottles of 2004 Corton-Charlemagne Grand cru Domaine by Leroy at $9,400 a bottle, for a total of $18,800.

They also splurged on four bottles of 2018 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti from the La Tach vineyard at $8,000 a bottle, $32,000 total.

The last wine LeBron and Green splurged on was a 2016 Le Pin Pomerol at $4,300 a bottle, for a total of $17,200.

LeBron and Green also sipped on exclusive bottles of cognac, spending $10,060 on two decanters of Louis XIII.

While they went all-out on their beverages for the trip, the two NBA stars didn’t skimp out on their meals either.

“For food, they wanted the finest caviar, and some of the best ingredients, including Charolais beef, one of the most delightful kind of meat in the world, but also chicken and veal, and, the ‘cherry on top of the cake,’ some very tasty white truffles,” the consultant continued.

“They really enjoy Cannes, St.Tropez, and Monaco, and to cook all those nice dishes, two very good chefs got hired for their stay in the French Riviera.”

LeBron and Green were one of only a handful of people to get their hands on Petrossian’s limited edition Tsar Imperial Caviar Coffret.

Only 100 cases of the Imperial Caviar were commissioned, and the NBA stars had to spend $2,960 to get a taste of the luxurious dish.

While they also dined on beef, veal, and chicken, it was among the best in the world and also came at a high price tag.

The beef LeBron and Green dined on was of the Charolais breed, which costs 140 dollars per kilo, of which they ordered 12 kilos.

Time for LeBron to retire?

“At the end of the day, I hate to say it, but I believe this in my soul right now – I wish LeBron James would retire.

“Not because I don’t want to see more of LeBron James, not because I don’t appreciate LeBron James.

“But I honestly believe deep down inside, the more LeBron James continues to play the game of basketball, the more it’s going to hurt his legacy and the more it’s going to continue to hurt his GOAT argument.

“As long as he steps foot on that floor, every single season, there’s gonna expectations of him winning a championship.

“And when he don’t do that, we’re gonna be looking at him saying: ‘Well what happened now?'”

The source also shared that they spent around $500 on veal and $500 on chicken.

Their biggest spend on food came in the form of truffles though, as the NBA stars ordered two kilos of white truffles, which cost $3,000 per kilo.

Between food and drinks, LeBron and Green enjoyed a $100,000 dining experience on their trip.

Despite the high price tag, they will likely be back for another experience next year.

“They love it here, they come to spend vacation in the area almost every year, and they want to enjoy the finest french food with the finest wines and drinks,” the consultant said.

“They work hard, they need to rest and enjoy with the best things!”
