Angel Reese has been on the sidelines since injuring her left wrist against the LA Sparks on Sept. 6. She continues to support her Chicago Sky teammates by being courtside and cheering them on as they try to battle for the No. 8 seed in the WNBA playoffs.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, a fan complimented Reese by sharing an image of the Sky forward during the team’s 93-88 loss to the Mercury on Sunday. The fan called Reese “beautiful,” as she rocked a simple look and wore a cast on her injured wrist.

Here’s what the 22-year-old star replied:

“Face carddddd,” Reese tweeted.

The Chicago Sky are 1-3 since Angel Reese went down with the injury and are ninth in the standings. The Sky are technically tied with the Washington Mystics at 13-25 but don’t own the tiebreaker. They have two games left, against the Atlanta Dream and the Connecticut Sun.

Chicago will need to win both games to have a chance of qualifying for the postseason. They also need the Mystics to lose their final two games versus the New York Liberty and the Indiana Fever.

The Sky seemingly have a better chance, as the Dream are struggling like them although the Sun are a tough game. Meanwhile, the Liberty are the best team in the league, while the Fever have been one of the best teams since the Olympic break.

It should also be pointed out that the Mystics have won seven of their last 10 games. They have been playing well since the break after an awful start to their campaign.

Angel Reese suffered a wrist injury against the LA Sparks, which was severe enough to put her on the shelf for the rest of the season.

Reese underwent surgery on her left wrist last Tuesday and was out of the hospital the next day. She was in attendance at the Chicago Sky’s first game since her injury.

She has been very supportive of the Sky despite their recent results. She would have at least given the team a better shot at making the playoffs if she had been healthy.

Reese is expected to be fully recovered in a few months and will likely play in the Unrivaled League during the offseason.

The LSU product has had a record-breaking rookie campaign and is expected to finish second in the WNBA Rookie of the Year voting.

Reese averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. She has also established herself as one of the best rebounders in the league.
