Ariana Grande fans have expressed outrage over her seventh album, Eternal Sunshine, getting snubbed by the Grammy Awards.

Despite earning three nominations from the Recording Academy, some social media users felt she was ‘blackballed’ as she was not recognized in the Big Four categories.

This sparked anger from her fans that took to X to point out that Eternal Sunshine, which featured her hit tracks like Yes, And? and We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for your Love), broke records and was critically acclaimed for its lyrics and sound.

Her latest record also marked her first following a three-year hiatus and her divorce from Dalton Gomez.

Previously, Grande boycotted the award show in 2019 following a disagreement with the ceremony’s producers over her set list.

Others declared that she was ‘robbed’ and that there was ‘absolutely no contenders even coming close’ to Grande for Video of the Year, despite her not even earning a nomination in that category.

‘She is really being sabotaged and blackballed somebody save my sis,’ another fired.

Her track from Eternal Sunshine, The Boy Is Mine, was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and also Best Pop Duo/Group performance for her collaboration with Brandy & Monica.

Yes, And? also raked in one nod for Best Dance Pop Recording

Over her career, Grande has won two Grammy Awards and has been nominated for 15.

In 2019, Grande infamously skipped the Grammy Awards after having a disagreement with producer Ken Ehrlich and his team when they tried to control what songs she performed.

At the time, producer Ken Ehrlich said that Grande had pulled out of the show after a month of negotiations because it was too late for her to put a performance together.

She, then, took to X to explain that producers wouldn’t allow her to perform the songs she wanted. Her album thank u, next dropped just two days before the Grammys.

This sparked anger from her fans that took to X to point out that Eternal Sunshine, which featured her hit tracks like Yes, And? and We Can¿t Be Friends (Wait for your Love), broke records and was critically acclaimed for its lyrics and sound

Ariana Grande jokes that Grammy for ‘Sweetener’ is for pet pig

She wrote: ‘i’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.’

‘i offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me.’
