Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series is set to drop later this month, but fans have already spotted an obvious error just days the teaser was released.
Meghan Markle has received backlash from her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan after fans spotted an obvious blunder online.
On Thursday (January 2), the Duchess of Sussex, 43, said she was “so excited” to tell her followers about the new show. The long-awaited lifestyle series, which fans were promised when their lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard was first teased last March, will launch on January 15.
The trailer shows the mum-of-two cooking in a Montecito kitchen, picking produce from her garden and chatting with very famous pals including Mindy Kaling, while The Lovin’ Spoonful’s Do You Believe in Magic plays over the top.
Posting the trailer to her Instagram account, Meghan wrote: “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it.”
Although the comments have been turned off on her Instagram post, fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out one obvious blunder online.
Meghan Markle has received backlash ahead of her new Netflix show
Sharing a promotional snap from Pamela Anderson’s culinary show, titled Pamela’s Cooking With Love, which was produced by Food Network Canada.
Her cooking show came months after the success of previous series, Pamela’s Garden of Eden, in which she renovated her boathouse into an artistic masterpiece and transformed her garden into a safe haven with a team of architectural and gardening experts.
Many have since pointed out the comparison between the model’s 2024 cooking show and Meghan Markle’s food series. One user penned: “And she’s done it again… is there nothing, and nobody’s work or ideas that Narkle won’t plagerise? [eye-rolling emoji, face palm emoji].”
Another agreed: “Is there a single word that this woman has not plagerised? She truly does not have a single original thought [shocked emoji].”
A third echoed: “She’s the gift that keeps on giving! Found out every bleeding time… No shame.” A fourth chimed in with: “Nope. She hasn’t got one original idea in her brain” as a fifth quipped: “It’s a vacuum in there…”
Describing the series in an official synopsis, Netflix said: “In With Love, Meghan, we join Meghan in the kitchen, garden – and even at the beehive – as she prepares to host friends both old and new.
“Sharing some of her favourite tips and tricks for cooking, gardening, crafting, and more, Meghan reveals how even the most minute details can help add beauty to our lives and, most importantly, help bring people together.
“Whether it’s preparing take-home gifts for guests or adding a sprinkle of edible flowers to breakfast, it’s truly the thought that counts.”
