Danny Jones completed the ‘treble’ by winning I’m A Celebrity, the Masked Singer and The Voice in 2024 – but his latest success very nearly didn’t happen at all
King of the Jungle Danny Jones almost didn’t get his crown due to house-move plans putting his I’m A Celebrity stint in big doubt.
The McFly star admits he didn’t think he would be able to appear on the programme because he was due to have a few months off to focus on getting the new family home just right. Singer Danny changed his mind and decided to go for it – and it was one of the best decisions he has made.
Viewers watched on as the guitarist, 38, was named the show’s winner last night as he beat Coleen Rooney to the top spot. He could set his sights on huge new ITV roles following his jungle success with bosses reportedly keen to sign the star to one of its main shows alongside the likes of Joel Dommett and Bradley Walsh.

He said: “To do the treble, I’ve had a crazy year. I just doubled down on it and thought why not. With a tour next year I was meant to have six months off and move house, but when I’m A Celeb came up I said screw it, let’s do it!
“I feel overwhelmed. It’s like when people buy tickets to your show. I’m always amazed by it. The fact so many people voted for me to be the King, I’m sure and I’ll be forever thankful. I feel like I have connected with people like I haven’t before. It didn’t know it would be so rewarding.”

He also spoke about finding friends in camp and called boxing legend Barry McGuigan his “jungle dad”. He said: “I leant on him for advice, I didn’t expect to show the side my nearest and dearest see. Friendships seem to blossom.
“You have time to talk – there’s no phones, you get to know everybody. It was the most overwhelming, rewarding experience of my life. There are times where you are talking about some deeper stuff and I didn’t expect to open up like that. I didn’t expect to show my vulnerable side. I have been myself and showed everything.”
Danny’s wife, Georgia, also joined him on screen where she discussed how it felt to have him back: “It’s weird seeing him. He came home with a full beard and I’ve never seen him like that before so that was different. He then decided to shave it into a handlebar moustache… I wasn’t sure!”
The offers are now expected to roll in. Danny is already a judge on The Voice but could soon add more shows to his roster. “Danny is the embodiment of everything ITV loves,” a source told the Sun. He’s fun, family friendly and incredibly popular. Watching how popular he was on I’m A Celeb made him a key target for other shows they have coming up. Danny is a brilliant musician, but he is also great on TV.”
