Dianne Buswell shares an emotional family update as she returns to Strictly rehearsals for the upcoming live tour

Dianne Buswell has shared an emotional family update on Instagram on Wednesday as she headed back to rehearsals for the upcoming Strictly live tour.

The Australian dancer, 35, shared that after spending seven weeks with her parents, Mark and Rina, they will be flying back home to Australia.

In a heartwarming video posted online, her parents were seen visiting Dianne during a training session with her Strictly dance partner, Chris McCausland.

She then shared a string of pictures and clips of them spending precious time together before their stay in the UK came to an end.

Alongside the video, Dianne wrote: ‘And just like that 7 weeks has passed by and it’s time for mum and dad to fly the nest back home to Australia today.

‘But what a 7 weeks it has been. Honestly moments that I had only dreamed of came to life and the best bit was that my parents were right there with me.

‘Already looking forward to the next time we can make memories together. Love you both very much. Safe travels home.’

Over the last few weeks, Dianne’s proud parents have been in the UK watching their daughter compete in the dance competition.

It was the first time Mark and Rina were able to watch her live in action in the ballroom since she joined the hit show back in 2017.

Not only were they able to watch Dianne perform in person, they later witnessed their daughter win the whole competition.

There were tears from Dianne, Chris and her family as they lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy at the grand final on December 14.

Since then, Dianne has managed to spend some quality time with her with not only her parents but also her siblings, nieces and nephews as they also visited for the festive period.

It comes after the dancer headed to the Strictly Come Dancing live tour practice on Tuesday.

She stepped out in a full-length tan waterproof adorned with drawings and paired it with ocean blue velvet trousers as she headed to rehearsals.

She toted a black rucksack and held red headphones and a blue metal coffee cup as she offered a wave to fans.

Dianne was joined in by co-stars Katya Jones, Vito Coppola, Jowita Przystal, Nancy Xu, Kai Widdrington, Michelle Tsiakkas, Neil Jones, Aljaz Skorjanec, Robbie Kmetoni, Karen Hauer, Jake Leigh, Lauren Oakley and Jason Gilkison.

The live tour shows return to Birmingham next week and will be judged by Strictly panel Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Revel Horwood and, for the first time, Motsi Mabuse.

Dianne’s farewell comes a year after she returned Down Under with her boyfriend Joe Sugg for Christmas.

She travelled to her homeland to spend the whole of the festive season with her cancer-stricken father Mark and the rest of her family.

During her time away, she gave fans an update, sharing that her father started the third round of his chemotherapy treatment during her stay.

Dianne shared a video of herself in the hospital with her father as she praised him for always having a ‘positive mind frame’.

In the clip, Dianne and her father Mark walked into the hospital arm-in-arm, before he gave her the thumbs up as he sat and waited for his treatment.

In an interview during Strictly training in 2023, Dianne spoke about the difficulty of not being in Australia with her family and how Bobby has helped her through the tough period.

Dianne told Heat Magazine: ‘I am such a hard-working, crazy dancer that it’s been a really nice balance, where Bobby has brought a lot of calmness into my life.

‘There has been quite a lot of going on in my personal life over these past few months, and Bobby has been really realistic and supportive, telling me everything’s going to be OK.

‘It’s crazy that such a young guy can have such a good mind on him.’
