Good Morning Britain fans were left scratching their heads during the latest episode over one puzzling theme.

During Friday’s visit (October 25) to the  ITV studios, Adil Ray and Kate Garraway woke up the nation for the final instalment of the week.

The dynamic duo discussed some of the biggest stories hitting the headlines on the morning show. This included the King Charles’ first speech as head of the Commonwealth and the discussion around legalising assisted dying.

But one thing that left viewers baffled was the unconscious dress code the cast and crew dressed in for the morning show. Throughout the programme, viewers noticed that most of the presenters were dressed in back clothing.

The 50-year-old broadcaster could be seen looking very suave in a classic black suit which he paired with a matching black tie and a small poppy badge. Meanwhile his co-star, 57, rocked a maroon jumper dress with a large paper poppy.

Meanwhile their guest migration and human rights lawyer Jacqueline McKenzie rocked a black dress which she teamed with a black blazer and a statement necklace while chef Joké Bakare opted for a black button-down top.

Joining in on the running theme, meteorologist Alex Beresford also rocked a black suit which he teamed with a denim blue tie as he delivered the latest weather report.

This soon left fans worried that a familiar face had passed away as the broadcasters waited for the grim announcement live on air.

Fans flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their concerns online. One user penned: “Why is everyone wearing black or dark colour in Kate’s case, both the political ladies and the chef and Adil has a black tie #GMB.”
