Kaye Adams has now revealed the impact Strictly Come Dancing can have on a person’s mental health after she was the first contestant booted from the show.
The Loose Women panellist, 61, starred on the dance talent show in 2022, however, she quickly found herself in a dreaded dance-off and was the first one to leave.
The presenter has since admitted to The Mirror that while she has no regrets about her time on the show, the experience has put her off from signing up to any similar shows in the future.
Reflecting on her short-stint on the show, Kaye said: ‘I just don’t know if I’m desperate to be judged again in that way.’
She added: ‘You could go in the jungle, you could try your level best, do everything, but you’re voted out first for whatever reason and you just feel like a loser. I don’t think I need that in my life.’

The BBC One show recently came under fire with allegations of bullying and complaints of abusive behaviour.
However, while Kaye acknowledges she found her Strictly experience bruising, she blames her own naivety, not the show and certainly not her dance partner Kai Widdrington.
Admitting Kai was the perfect gentleman, the presenter said: ‘Kai was an absolute gentleman from start to finish. I was so pleased to be paired with him and I couldn’t have asked any more of him.’
The star also added that she met some ‘wonderful’ people on Strictly but it was a ‘tough’ show, and viewers don’t get to see at home the amount of hard work that goes into the performances.
She also claimed that you have to ’emotionally put yourself on the line’ and while some people ‘sail through’ and respond most positively, Kaye admitted that she found it a bit ‘destabilising’.
However, she confessed that she felt that way because of herself and not the show or the way she was treated.
Kaye, who danced a Tango and a Charleston on the show, initially hoped Strictly would turn her into the sort of person who would jump up to dance at a wedding. But she confessed that didn’t happen.
The star laughed as she revealed that she’s still the ‘same old klutz’ from ten, twenty, or thirty years ago.

While Kaye won’t be lining up to take part in I’m a Celebrity, there is reportedly one show she would still love to try.
The star revealed to The Mirror that she would love to star in Celebrity Race Across The World as there isn’t a vote and you either are or you aren’t the loser.
Kaye also confidently admitted that if she were to partake in the show alongside her children she believes they could win.
Kaye lives in Glasgow with her tennis coach partner Ian and the couple have two daughters, Charley, 22 and Bonnie, 17.
The lunchtime chat show will mark its 25th anniversary next month and Kaye has been in it from the start having anchored the very first show in 1999.
Kaye, who was 36 at the time, was told the job would last for just a month, however, the show became a raging success.
When asked whether she expected the show to carry on for so long, Kaye responded with ‘god no’ and revealed that she was aware that the show could ‘divebomb’.
Over the years, the show has won countless awards and received a BAFTA nomination earlier this year.
The panellists are well known for speaking their minds and occasionally regret what they say.
And while Kaye is usually careful with her words, she confessed she did cause upset once in one of her early shows.
Discussing the early days of motherhood, the star revealed that she found them ‘quite difficult’ and shared her thoughts on the programme at the time.
However, Kaye claimed that when her daughter Charley was younger, she discovered articles on the internet and asked her if she hated motherhood.

Claiming that she ‘felt awful’ at the time, the mother-of-two explained to her daughter that it ‘wasn’t the case’ and the situation reminded her to be careful with what she said live on air.
During the interview, Kaye also discussed her How to be 60 podcast, which has seen her interview a host of big-name stars about their thoughts on turning 60.
Admitting the podcast is very ‘personal’ to her, Kaye explained that once you become post-menopausal and into your late 50s, you go into the ‘wilderness’ a little bit in terms of the public conversation.
She added that there are a lot of men and women who are getting to that stage in their life where they think they have much more ‘living to do’.
She also confessed that people in their 60’s want to get ‘reward and value’ out of these years and don’t want to just ‘drift into the horizon’.
As for her future, Kaye is unsure how retirement will feature in her plans, but she admitted to The Mirror that she is already conquering up a plan of what to do and is thinking about taking up new activities.
She also discussed her partner Ian and his love for tennis, and revealed that she wouldn’t dismiss the idea of moving abroad once she has retired.
