Good Morning Britain fans have been left unimpressed as the ITV programme failed to mention a top news story about Michael Mosley this week – and they were eager to know why
Good Morning Britain fans have expressed their disappointment after the show’s hosts, Kate Garraway and Rob Rinder, failed to cover a major news story. It comes after TV doctor Michael Mosley was reported missing earlier this week on the small Greek island of Symi.
The 67 year old has been missing since he didn’t return from a coastal walk on Wednesday (June 5) near St Nikolas beach, located south-east of Pedi. He was last seen after 1.30pm, having left his wife at St Nikolas Beach to explore the island’s interior.
The journey from Pedi Beach to St Nikolas Beach usually takes a mere 20 minutes, so it was alarming when Dr Mosley did not return. The Foreign Office has confirmed their involvement, stating they are assisting Mosley’s family in Greece and working with local law enforcement.

One user on X, formerly Twitter, questioned: “Anyone else think it’s odd that @GMB don’t seem to have touched the Michael Mosley story at all this morning? ” Another person responded: “Yes was thinking same. It’s all very odd.”
Another viewer commented: “BBC covered it but nothing from ITV.” Yet another post read: “@GMB no mention of Dr Michael Mosley?”

While the GMB team didn’t cover the story, one presenter did acknowledge Dr Mosley’s situation on social media. Martin Lewis, the Money Saving Expert, took to X to voice his concerns regarding Dr Mosley’s sudden absence.

On Thursday, June 6, he reached out to his 3.1 million followers with a tweet that read: “Feeling disturbed about the news about Dr Michael Mosley. I hope he’s ok.” Meanwhile, a thorough search operation is underway on the Greek island of Symi, where local reports and a Facebook group update suggest that a specialist rescue team from Athens is set to join the search soon, bringing drones to aid in the mission.
