Justin and Hailey announced the birth of their baby boy earlier today and their newborn’s name appears to hold special significance
Justin and Hailey Bieber announced the birth of their son and it appears his name may have a sweet meaning behind it.
The ‘Baby’ singer and founder of skincare company Rhode shared the news that they’ve welcomed a baby boy in a post to Instagram.
The couple got married in September 2018 and first announced that they were expecting a child together in May 2024.
In a post to Instagram earlier today, Justin shared an image of one of the newborn’s tiny little feet, with Hailey’s hand in shot too.
The caption reads: “Welcome home, Jack Blues Bieber.”
And it would seem there may be a heartwarming reason behind the baby’s name – specifically the name ‘Jack’.
Justin and Hailey Bieber have welcomed a baby boy.
Justin’s mom Pattie Mallette and dad, Jeremy Bieber, broke up a few months after Justin was born on March 1, 1994 and the singer and his father’s relationship hasn’t always been easy.
In an interview with Billboard in 2015, Justin reflected that his dad was ‘immature’ and ‘not in a place where he could raise a kid’ at first.
The singer continued: “He left for like a year when I was about four, went to British Columbia, came back on Father’s Day. I remember my mom said, ‘If you’re going to be here, you have to be here’.”
However, he added: “There’s a misconception that he’s this deadbeat dad, but he has been in my life since. I was with him on weekends and Wednesdays.”
In a post to Instagram in 2017, he added: “I️ love continuing to get to know my father I️ love working through hard things to get to the good things.. relationships are worth fighting for especially with family!! Love you forever and always daddy!”
And it would appear Justin and Hailey’s naming of their firstborn son – and Pattie and Jeremy’s first grandchild – could be a sweet nod to his dad – as Justin’s father called Jeremy but his middle name is Jack.
It would seem Justin and Hailey’s choice of baby name is linked to the singer’s dad.
Fans of the singer have been flooding to social media to congratulate him and Hailey, and they are in love with the name choice.
One Twitter user wrote: “Justin and Hailey are gonna be amazing parents Congratulations to the Biebers!”
“He’s the only celebrity giving normal name to their kid,” another commented.
A third said: “Omg! Jack Blues Bieber! What a cute name! Definitely a future popular! Congrats to them!”
And a fourth resolved: “Lol finally a normal name for a celebrity baby.”
