Kay Burley marks milestone as she teases what’s to come on show
Bookies have predicted that Kay Burley will move to rival channel GB News after she stepped down from Sky News yesterday. After working on the channel for three decades, the 64-year-old announced her retirement live on air on Wednesday.
Her sudden announcement has sparked speculation about her next move, and according to Gambling.com, a move to another TV channel leads the early market.
The betting site has predicted a 44.4% probability that Kay will join GB News (5/4 odds). Other suggested shows include Celebrity Traitors (11/8) and Strictly Come Dancing (2/1).
There are 5/2 odds that Kay will move to Fox News and a 3/1 chance she will join the ITV show Loose Women. The probability of Kay moving to LBC News stands at 4/1.
While she has officially retired from Sky News, the experienced broadcaster stopped short of announcing a complete retirement from television.

Another potential destination could be the United States, where US politics has become a hot topic after Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
Kay’s chances are currently 5/1 to sign up for rival US broadcaster CNN.

Born in Wigan to working-class parents who worked in a local cardboard factory, Kay proudly identifies herself as a “Wigan street fighter.”
She began her journalism career at 17 with the Wigan Evening Post and Chronicle before moving on to BBC local radio and Tyne Tees Television.
Before joining the core team that launched Sky News in 1989, Kay was married to fellow reporter Steve Burley. The couple got hitched in 1980 when Kay was just 19 years old.
However, their marriage ended six years later, and Kay went on to marry her second husband, Steve Kutner, at the age of 28. Kutner, a former agent of retired Premier League footballer Frank Lampard, and Kay had their only son, Alexander Kutner, 31, in 1993.
