Presenters Stephen Dixon and Ellie Costello revealed that the 18-year-old was handed a life sentence with a minimum of 52 years for killing three schoolgirls and attacking 10 other people.
The breakfast show also delved into the horrifying details of the crimes, the life-changing effects on the survivors and Rudakubana’s absence from the trial.
However, after going to a weather update on Storm Eowyn, the topic quickly shifted to the glitzy Oscar nominations.
This angered viewers as one questioned: “How can GB News go from discussing Southport killing to non important Oscars?”
