Tasha Ghouri has broken her silence after she missed out on winning Strictly Come Dancing with Aljaž Škorjanec.
Chris McCausland was crowned the champion of the BBC competition, beating Tasha, JB Gill and Sarah Hadland in Saturday night’s (December 14) emotional final.
Love Island star Tasha, 26, who became the second deaf contestant to ever take part in the show, shared a selection of photos from her Strictly journey on social media.
Tasha, who was born without hearing and has had a cochlear implant since she was just five, branded her experience “magical” before gushing over her partnership with Aljaž.
She began: “Strictly after 13 weeks thank you, when I say doing this show has just been so magical I can’t even put it into words & surprising me with my brother flying in from Australia!!! This was extra special having him there watching the final, thank you so much for making this happen.
“Alijaz you made magical beautiful dances that’ll be remembered for a long time from our American smooth, waltz, show dance and many more.
Tasha described her Strictly experience as “magical”
Tasha continued: “Everyday we laughed & smiled, you are what strictly is about – your passion and positivity radiates from within on this show. I can’t thank you enough from the bottom of my heart, you made my experience so magical. And we made history!!! What a moment.
“I have to give a huge shoutout to @arduinobertoncello for our show dance, thank you so much for making the show dance EPIC! you really helped me bring out my inner ginger & doing this style I LOVED IT!!!”
Tasha urged her followers to follow their dreams as she reflected on what he had achieved over the last 13 weeks.
She wrote: “To my younger Tasha.. we did it. We lived a dream we dreamt of for a long long time. We never gave up believing and chasing that dream. We danced every week with a smile on our face, we danced with our heart and never gave up.
“We did have a journey on this show but that’s what made it beautiful. I’m proud of us! I hope this sends a message to you all to keep going, never give up & anything is possible.”

Tasha penned an emotional message to the 2024 winner Chris, declaring that he deserved to win the glitterball trophy.
Tasha mentioned how proud she was of her fellow finalists, saying: “I’m so proud of you all, what an incredible final of people to be a part of.”
She thanked the judges and those who work behind-the-scenes on the show before concluding: “Now I need to sleep, enjoy Christmas and I’ll be back for @strictlycomedancing live.”
Tasha and Aljaž will be performing on the Strictly tour, however, fans will be devastated to know that Chris will not be making an appearance due to schedule clashes.

After learning he had won the competition, an emotional Chris said: “It’s astonishing.”
The comedian was lost for words as he continued: “I don’t know what to say. I honestly thought I would go out in the first week or two. I know no one went out in the first week but I thought I still could. We’ve just lasted and lasted.”
Speaking about his partnership with Dianne, he declared: “She’s got so much out of me and she deserves this so much. She is one of the easiest people to be funny with that I’ve ever met.”
The Liverpool-born star joked: “Unless she changes her number she’s stuck with me.”
He added: “This is for her and it’s for everyone out there that got told they couldn’t do something or thought they couldn’t do it. It shows that opportunity, support and determination means anything can happen.”
