Lorraine Kelly announced ‘the end’
“I’ve just finished The Island Swimmer. It was brilliant, I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for book two,” somebody else echoed. A fourth social media user said: “Loved your first book – well done, can’t wait.”
Lorraine’s book The Island Swimmer follows Evie, who returns to her family home on Orkney when her father falls desperately ill. Desperate to repair her relationship with her estranged sister, Evie prepares her father’s house for sale and finds herself drawn to a cold-water swimming group.
The novel is about community, the secrets hidden on an island and the mistakes of the past. It quickly became a Sunday Times bestseller and has a 3.95 average rating on Goodreads.
The plot and title of Lorraine’s second book haven’t yet been announced.
