Eamonn Holmes has been spotted out with his new girlfriend following his shock split from wife Ruth Langsford earlier this year . The TV presenter, 66, was seen on a trip to his home county, Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland, with his reported new girlfriend, counsellor Katie Alexander.

The former This Morning star, 64, and Katie, 42, were seen frequenting the same restaurant for four days on the trot – and now, a staff member has revealed a hidden insight into the rumoured new couple, following their trip. A staff member who works at the American-style diner, Papa Brown’s, said of the happy pair: “He came in four days in a row. I noticed his girlfriend had an English accent. They looked happy.”

They told The Sun: “He appeared quite frail and it took a minute to recognise him, but he was always very polite and friendly. Both of them appeared at ease with being seen together. Eamonn really enjoyed it.” GB News presenter Eamonn is said to have met counsellor Katie back in 2015, after she commented on one of his social media posts and the pair got chatting.

The couple are also said to be continuing their romantic trips together. Just this weekend, the couple were all smiles as they were spotted together at a Barcelona port , where it was reported that they were heading off on a luxury Mediterranean cruise. Eamonn, who has opened up about his health struggles in recent years, was seen to be using a mobility aid beside Katie at the port.

Despite being photographed together, Eamonn and Katie haven’t publicly confirmed their relationship, and neither has ex-wife, Loose Women star Ruth. However, Katie’s former partner, Michael Devine, has said that their son Ben had told him about it, revealing to the MailOnline : “Ben told me Eamonn and Katie were together, but he doesn’t say much, he’s more interested in kicking a football around.”

They’ve also been seen stepping out together at a Manchester United football match, and a Beyoncé concert.

It was reported at the time that Eamonn had moved out of the family home after secret messages were found between him and another woman. Eamonn said in the weeks following the split: “I’m not OK. This is not a good time at all.”
