After an awkward moment on I’m A Celebrity on Thursday night, host Ant McPartlin was asked about his reaction to Dean McCullough’s latest trial blunder.

Ant, who viewers said was “seething” during the latest episode, was quick to confess he was annoyed at the campmate – and he just could not hide it. But Dec Donnelly’s co-host was quick to share he “wasn’t happy” with how he reacted, and that it was obvious in the episode – while Dean did bite back.

Calling his antics “unprofessional”, he vowed to be “kinder” to Dean going forward before defending is outrage over the days of trial drama. He even asked Sam Thompson not to ask him about Dean, having made the request before they went on air.

But as talk of Dean resurfaced, it wasn’t long until Ant was quizzed over the clear fury written all over his face during the task. In the latest task Dean managed to win four stars, but he quit the trial early just like he did two days earlier.

A day on from winning no stars with GK Barry, Dean struggled once more and screamed for it to be halted. Ant was clearly annoyed, and he wasted no time in grilling Dean over his decision to flee over some fish guts.

Sam seemed just as outraged over this on the spin-off series Unpacked, with Ant explaining why he reacted that way. He said: “You just get to the point where you think what are you doing?”

Referred to as “bad cop” by host Joel Dommett, Ant laughed it off before confessing he “wasn’t happy” with his behaviour. He said: “Oh my God,” referring to the fish guts, before adding: “I told you not to talk to me about it Sam.”

He added: “My annoyance came across on screen and it was unprofessional, and I am not happy about it. I will be kind to him today.” Dean is facing the next trial with Danny Jones, so he and Ant will come face-to-face once more.

Dec also shared his hopes for the next trial admitting it was nice to see someone else down there. He said: “Danny is determined, he’s enthusiastic, he really wants to [do well], there’s no hiding for Dean now, he has to step up.”

Taking to X during the show to discuss Ant’s reaction, one fan posted on X: “Ant has had enough of Dean,” as another said: “Ant is so fed up.” A third added: “Ant looks SEETHING and I feel it. Dean is not in the least bit entertaining,” as a fourth fan wrote: “You can tell Ant is so sick of Dean doing these trials already.”
