STRICTLY has been hit with yet another injury scare after Nadiya Bychkova broke her thumb in rehearsals.

The Ukrainian pro, 35, fell and landed on her hand on Wednesday.

She was treated at once by on-site medics.

An X-ray revealed a break, and she was told to rest up.

But Nadiya will appear in balcony scenes tomorrow night — and was cleared to continue recording a group dance to be screened later in the series.

A source said: “Nadiya was training with the other pros when she fell. Her thumb basically snapped and it looked incredibly painful.

“Everyone crowded around her. Nadiya’s thumb was badly swollen and bruised, but she doesn’t want to let anyone down and is adamant she can do the pre-recorded number.

“A doctor eventually cleared her and she’ll be able to film, but might be treated with kid gloves by fellow pros.

“Nadiya will be there on Saturday for the live show, too — she’s adamant the show must quite literally go on.”

Nadiya’s celeb partner, Olympic swimmer Tom Dean, was the first contestant eliminated, but she still features in pro-only dances.

Her injury is the latest to hit the series.

Nick Knowles had to wear a sling after hurting his arm changing a tyre.

He then injured his knee in rehearsals before being eliminated.

And pro Amy Dowden, off last year for breast cancer treatment, will miss this week after falling ill backstage.
