Ruth Langford’s lawyers are reportedly compiling a “forensic” timeline of her estranged husband Eamonn Holmes’ text messages with Katie Alexander.
Ruth Langsford’s legal team is meticulously piecing together a timeline of Eamonn Holmes’ new relationship in preparation for divorce discussions.
This comes after reports that Eamonn, 64, and Katie Alexander, 43, first made contact 12 years ago and allegedly exchanged flirtatious messages online.
Insiders close to the estranged couple claimed that Ruth’s lawyers are gathering information on specific dates and times related to her ex’s burgeoning relationship.
They are also ready to converse with dating counsellor Katie’s former husband if necessary.
The source claimed to The Mirror: “Ruth’s legal team are compiling a forensically detailed account of Eamonn’s relationship with Katie and when it started.
Ruth and Eamonn announced their split in May
“Ruth’s team are doing their due diligence ahead of the divorce proceedings. They are prepared to speak to people in Ruth and Eamonn’s wider circle.”
Last week, it was alleged that Eamonn and Katie had exchanged flirty messages online 12 years ago. The conversation also included Katie’s then-husband George, who humorously remarked: “Think she’s flirting with you.”
Following these reports, Eamonn and mother-of-three Katie have reached out to their former partners to assure them that their relationship only commenced once their previous ones had definitively ended.
The source added: “Katie and Eamonn have been scrambling around to tell their respective exes that they were not romantically involved way back then.”
The TV stars Ruth and Eamonn, parents to 22-year-old Jack, have shaken the media with news of their separation after a 14-year marriage.
In a joint statement, they announced: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
It’s reported that the Loose Woman star has enlisted the services of top-notch solicitor Catherine Costley, who cut her teeth under the nation’s premier divorce lawyer, Baroness Fiona Shackleton, noted for representing royalty and celebrities alike.
Eamonn stepped out publicly with new partner Katie at the Irish Post Awards earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Ruth quipped about decluttering on Loose Women: “I’m throwing out a lot of stuff out at the minute,” which prompted chuckles from the studio audience.
