Prince Harry and Meghan Markle jetted off on a secret holiday just weeks ago before spending Christmas at their home in California, it has been revealed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, 40 and 43, were spotted in Costa Rica with their son Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, as they enjoyed some time in the sunshine from December 14 until December 20 last year.

In photographs obtained by CRHoy.com, the family could be seen enjoying some quality family time, with one picture showing Prince Harry, Meghan and Lilibet sat in a golf buggy.

Another photo showed Meghan, wearing a black strapless summer dress, carrying a tired Princess Lilibet, who was wearing a sweet white dress.

Prince Harry was also spotted on his own at various points of the holiday as he walked around a resort wearing a plain white t-shirt, black shorts and his sunglasses.

As reported by CRHoy.com, the couple travelled to Zapotal, Nandayure and Guanacaste on their six-day trip.

It is not known exactly which resort they stayed at.

The family then reportedly flew home to Montecito, California, on December 20 to get into the Christmas spirit back at their mansion.

It is believed the couple celebrated the festive holidays at their home with Meghan’s mum Doria, with the family reportedly having not received an invite to Sandringham in the UK to spend the occasion with the Royal Family.

While the family of four are not often seen together on holiday, the secret trip is one of a few taken by the couple last year as reported by People.

In September, the couple reportedly stopped over in Portugal, where Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her family live part-time, after the 2023 Invictus Games in Germany for some quality family time.

It is believed they have since brought their own holiday home in the same area, although this has not been confirmed by the couple themselves.

Prince Harry and Meghan also then reportedly went to the Caribbean together in October.
