I’m A Celebrity fans are starting to question Danny Jones’s tactics as they reckon they’ve figured out his strategy for winning.

The McFly frontman is enjoying a comfortable ride in the top four of this year’s jungle series following the departures of GK Barry and Alan Halsall on Friday.

However, eagle-eyed viewers have highlighted Danny’s rather smooth journey throughout the competition compared to his fellow campmates.

During the episode on Friday night, when the celebrities needed to nominate two among them for a gruesome eating challenge.

Reverend Richard Coles and Coleen Rooney bravely stepped up, with Dancing On Ice’s Oti Mabuse also willing to try but despite Oti’s offer, Coleen insisted on taking on the trial.

Meanwhile, many at home couldn’t help but notice that Danny avoided volunteering, and seemingly not for the first time.

This sparked speculation among viewers that the singer may be deploying a calculated approach to dodge the more arduous trials.

One fan pointedly asked: “Has Danny ever offered to do a trial #ImACeleb.”

Another fan expressed disappointment, adding: “I love Danny to bits but he never puts himself forward for the trials. Oti and Richard especially put themselves forward a lot, but Danny just isn’t doing enough for my liking.”

A third shared their surprise: “I’m surprised Danny has not volunteered more?”

Another expressed concern that ambition seemed lacking, questioning: “There was a bit of a lack of volunteers there for the trial. People need to step up if they want to win. Where were Danny, GK, and Alan?”

Despite shirking the trials, Danny has charmed the nation and has emerged as the favourite to be crowned King of the Jungle.
